About J. Grant Buckerfield
After fifteen years in the UK, the displaced Aussie lands in Venice, California and kicks it up a notch. New songs, new TV shows, a collaboration or two in the works. Grant's distinctive production style was honed in his formative years as a radio brand producer in Australia, the UK and Europe. His radio career culminated in a Senior Producer role at BBC Radio One in London and his music production packages have been heard on radio stations all over the world. In 2001 he began creating soundtracks for television. Credits in that first year included BIG BROTHER, FEAR FACTOR, THE BACHELOR and the BAFTA award winning reality show I'M A CELEBRITY (Get Me Out Of Here!) which pulled the largest UK audience figures in television history and earned him a Royal Television Society award nomination. A collaboration with Top 5 UK artist Touch and Go : "So Hot" was used to open the steamy documentary series "G-String Divas" and was featured in the film One Night at McCools, starring Matt Dillon and Liv Tyler. In the short time he has been in the States, he has picked up TV commissions from FOX (Beverly Hills Vet) Granada USA (Infinity & Connections) National Geographic (Inside Rio Carnivale / What Would Happen If ..?) along with 2 hot new shows for the BBC (Dirty Rotten Cheaters / World's Greatest Elvis

We all see plenty of people with laptops, gathering at coffee houses. Ever wonder what they are doing? What they are working on? Well as for Grant J. Buckerfield, he is making his living as an established brilliant composer right there next to you, while he is drinking his latte.

The Coffee Shop Composer
Grant J. Buckerfield is new to LA. He just arrived from London and yes he is setting up shop here in the Venice, Santa Monica area. While he is deciding where to establish his studio, the show must go on, so he starts his day in a coffee shop, like Abbots’ Habit on Abbot Kinney in Venice or perhaps “The Talking Stick” on Ocean Park in Santa Monica. “I like to change my environment; I find certain locations work better for specific projects. It’s also a great way to explore LA, and find a good cup of coffee, explains Grant.
